BAPTISMS
Baptism expresses the washing away of an old way of life and the beginning of a new way of life that is committed to living by faith in Jesus. Such a life is characterised by prayer, reading and studying the Bible, along with active involvement in a local faith community.
In the Anglican Church we baptise the children of parents who have themselves made a commitment to follow Jesus. For these children, baptism is a prayer to God that he will complete the work of salvation in this child as his/her parents teach them how to pray, to read the Bible regularly and bring them along with them to church each week until a time when they can make their own response to God. Confirmation is the name given to the ritual when those who were baptised as children make their own response to God.

WEDDINGS
We wish you both every joy and happiness as you prepare and enter into marriage.
At Keppel Anglican Church, we rejoice in God’s gift of marriage. We believe God instituted marriage for His purposes and for our good, and we wish you every joy and happiness as you prepare for married life together.
You may choose to be married in either our historic building in Emu Park or our modern church in Yeppoon with its views over Keppel Bay.

FUNERALS AND MEMORIAL SERVICES
If you are reading this page because you recently lost a loved one, please accept our sincere condolences to you. We want to do our best to help you at this time.
We remember Jesus’ words in the book of John:
“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also. You know the way to where I am going.”
Our hope for you at this time is that through Jesus you will indeed be comforted and your hearts will not be troubled.
Funeral services are normally arranged in conjunction with a Funeral Director, who will engage a Minister or celebrant, as you request, and arrange the venue (church or otherwise). Our Ministers will happy go with you to meet with the Funeral Director if you wish.
